DER KARNEVAL DER TIERE

OPER FRANKFURT, 2021

“Dancing elephants, stubborn donkeys and shimmering swarms of fish - Camille Saint-Saëns’ Carnival of the Animals is one of his best known works. Don't miss seeing lots of curious animals scampering about in the Bockenheimer Depot, directed by Katharina Kastening, with the actor Christoph Pütthoff, using texts adapated by Loriot, one of the funniest German one-offs ever, accompanied by members of our orchestra and two pianists. Here's a detailed programme!

MANON LESCAUT

OPER FRANKFURT, REVIVAL 2020

“A revival of last season's hugely successful production of Manon Lescaut opened in October, briefly. Dramaturge Deborah Einspieler spoke to the revival director Katharina Kastening during rehearsals about the challenges of bringing Alex Ollé’s production on stage while complying with corona regulations. It certainly calls for the imagination and creativity of all taking part to take on this task in these strange times.”
